Initially, I booked three nights because of the great value and unbeatable location near the train station and Wukou Metro Station. But once I arrived, the comfort, service, and convenience made me want to stay longer. The hotel is perfectly positioned—just a short walk from metro lines and bus stops, making it incredibly easy to explore key attractions like the City Wall, Big Goose Pagoda, and ancient Daming Palace. The room view? Stunning—direct sightlines to the historic city wall and train station, which added a special charm to our stay. Special shoutout to Mr. Wei Xinglong from the concierge team—he went above and beyond helping with luggage and package collection, always cheerful and efficient. The front desk staff, Xiao Hao and Xiao Liu, were warm, professional, and attentive. When we mentioned the room felt a bit warm on our first night, they immediately upgraded us to a larger suite at no extra cost—a truly unexpected and thoughtful gesture that made our trip even more memorable. Housekeeping was spotless, and the room had excellent natural light, giving it a bright, inviting feel. Even though the hotel has seen some years, the design and furnishings still exude quality and elegance, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable after long days of sightseeing. Step outside and you're face-to-face with the iconic Bell Tower—perfect for photos and soaking in the historic vibe. The staff, from security to front desk and laundry team, were all friendly, professional, and attentive without being overbearing. Breakfast was fantastic—daily rotating menu with fresh, diverse options that kept us excited every morning. My parents especially loved the afternoon tea service; after a long day of exploring, returning to a cozy corner with a warm drink and light bites was pure bliss. This hotel delivers on comfort, convenience, and charm. I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Xi’an—and I’ll definitely be back.

Platinum wan'ao Victory Hotel

Our 8-day self-drive trip across Shaanxi ended with a stay at Platinum Wan'ao Victory Hotel in Xi'an, and overall, it was an excellent choice. The location is incredibly convenient—right across from Hepingmen Metro Station, just a 50-meter walk away, making public transit access seamless for exploring the city. The hotel faces the ancient city wall directly, and it’s only about a 1.7-kilometer stroll to Yongning Gate if you want to walk along the wall—a pleasant way to enjoy the historic surroundings. Upon check-in, the front desk proactively upgraded us to a larger room, which made a big difference: spacious enough to comfortably unpack and move around, and ideal for family travel. Cleanliness was spot-on, meeting standard expectations without any issues. One minor drawback is the parking situation—being a multi-level garage, it’s not the most user-friendly, especially for larger vehicles, though my compact car navigated it easily. Breakfast was decent but not particularly impressive by luxury hotel standards—nothing overly elaborate, and we didn’t receive a third breakfast for our parents, which was slightly disappointing since this was one of only two hotels on the entire trip that didn’t offer it. Still, considering the excellent location, helpful staff, room comfort, and overall value, it’s hard not to give high praise. For travelers prioritizing convenience and a solid base in central Xi’an, this hotel is a strong recommendation.

EASTERN HOUSE(Near Bell&Drum Tower City Wall)

Staying at this hotel was an absolute delight! Located right in the heart of Xi'an, it’s just a short walk from Bell and Drum Tower, the Muslim Quarter, and all the hidden gems around town—perfect for exploring on foot. The staff, especially our host Star, were incredibly warm and welcoming; they even gave us a little gift when checking out—such a thoughtful touch! Every evening, there’s a complimentary sweet soup served as part of the “goodnight” ritual, and the afternoon tea buffet is a lovely treat. Water bottles are available on every floor with no limits—super convenient. I also appreciated the 6th-floor laundry room, which comes equipped with detergent so you don’t have to bring your own. The room layout is fantastic: spacious, well-designed, and features a full-length mirror that makes getting ready a breeze. Everything about this place feels thoughtfully put together. Highly recommend it to friends and travelers looking for comfort, charm, and great value in a central location.

XI’AN DAJING CASTLE HOTEL

The hotel exceeded my expectations—no issues at all, despite some online reviews suggesting otherwise. The front desk staff and housekeeping team were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the stay feel warm and welcoming. As a long-standing five-star property, the facilities are top-notch and well-maintained. Location-wise, it’s absolutely perfect—just steps from the old town, with easy access to the ancient city wall and the bustling Muslim Quarter. Walking to local street food spots is a breeze, and the metro station right outside means commuting to work is fast and hassle-free without needing a taxi. I especially loved the ground-floor coffee—it’s way better than any takeaway I’ve had lately. There’s also a great selection of authentic local eats nearby, giving the area a real local vibe. If I ever bring my family on a trip to Xi’an, this will be my first choice again. Highly recommend for both business and leisure travelers.
