My stay at this hotel was excellent overall. The staff were efficient and friendly, making check-in and daily interactions a breeze. Breakfast was top-notch—plenty of options and delicious quality. The pool is on the smaller side, but it's clean and well-maintained, perfect for a quick dip after exploring the city. Located just steps from public transit, getting around Lyon is super convenient. Great value for the price, and I’d definitely recommend it to others looking for a comfortable, no-frills experience in a central location.
Staying at Hôtel le Roosevelt Lyon was an absolute delight. Located right in the heart of Lyon, it’s incredibly convenient for exploring the city—just a short walk to the main attractions and public transit. The hotel is brand new with modern, stylish rooms that feel both luxurious and welcoming. The staff went above and beyond with their warm hospitality, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Clean, well-designed, and thoughtfully equipped, this place truly stands out. If you're visiting Lyon, this is one of the best choices for comfort and location. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend it.
Our stay at Maison Nô was absolutely delightful. Located right in the heart of Lyon, it’s incredibly convenient for exploring the city—everything is just a short walk away. The rooms were spotless and cozy, with a perfect balance of modern comfort and charm. The staff went above and beyond with their warm hospitality, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We also checked out the rooftop bar, which, while not quite our personal style, still offered stunning views of the city skyline—especially beautiful at night. The ambiance was lively yet relaxed, and the drinks were well-crafted. Overall, this hotel delivers an exceptional experience with great value, and we’d definitely return. A hidden gem in Lyon!
Staying at the Best Western Hotel du Pont Wilson in Lyon was an absolute delight. The location is fantastic—right next to a bus stop that takes you straight to the train station, making travel super convenient. The room was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed and thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. Breakfast area was very clean, and the breakfast spread was generous and fresh. Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive—always smiling, ready to help, and happy to share local recommendations. It’s rare to find such a great balance of comfort, cleanliness, and hospitality. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Lyon; it’s a true gem!
I was temporarily relocated here for about two weeks due to a fire incident at my apartment building, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The apartment is spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable—perfect for a short stay. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. It’s well-connected to public transit, making it easy to explore Lyon’s city center. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so everything you need is within reach. With its clean environment, great layout, and excellent service, this place is definitely a standout. I’d absolutely book again on my next trip to Lyon.
I was genuinely impressed with every aspect of this hotel. From the high-quality furnishings and comfortable bedding to the thoughtfully designed bathroom and delightful touches like the specialty tea selection in the lobby—something you can take back to your room, plus complimentary water bottles to go. The staff truly went above and beyond, offering warm hospitality and helpful recommendations without ever being intrusive. The location is excellent—walkable to major attractions and just a short metro ride from everything else in Lyon. It’s rare to find such a well-rounded experience, especially at this level of comfort and attention to detail. I’ll definitely be returning next time I’m in the city—highly recommend!
This stay at Ibis Budget Lyon Centre - Gare Part-Dieu was hands down the highlight of my trip! The hotel feels brand new—especially the unique vertical bunk beds, which are a fun twist and surprisingly spacious. The beds themselves are larger than expected, making for a comfortable night’s sleep. The bathroom is thoughtfully designed with three separate zones, including a perfect dry/wet separation that really elevates the experience. Cleanliness? Absolutely top-notch—no dust anywhere, even on top of furniture, which speaks volumes about their standards. Location-wise, it’s just a 3-minute walk to the train station, and right next door is a shopping complex with a two-level Carrefour, so everything you need is within reach. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and they offered free drinks and croissants—those fizzy waters were refreshing! Breakfast was a real winner: fresh croissants, baguettes, a wide variety of breads (some familiar, others new), cheeses, sausages, milk, juices, and even the option to cook your own eggs—flavor was solid across the board. Overall, this place delivers excellent value, great convenience, and genuine hospitality. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!
Staying at the InterContinental Lyon - Hotel Dieu by IHG was an absolute delight. The location is unbeatable—just a 40-minute walk to the historic hill of Fourvière, the majestic Notre-Dame de Fourvière Cathedral, and the ancient Roman Theatre. The morning views from the city skyline are stunning, especially when you start your day with a delicious breakfast. The breakfast spread is impressive: fresh fruits are available both pre-cut and whole. I chose the whole kiwi, apples, pears, and oranges, and staff kindly sliced them for me right after I placed them on my tray—such a thoughtful touch. The hotel offers valet parking at €42 per night, which is reasonable considering the central location and high level of service. Every detail feels intentional, from the elegant décor to the attentive staff. This isn’t just a place to sleep—it’s a memorable experience. I’d definitely return and recommend it to any traveler visiting Lyon.
Staying at this boutique hotel in the heart of Lyon was an absolute delight from check-in to check-out. The only minor tweaks I’d suggest: 1) the bar lacked stools, making it less comfortable to sit and enjoy drinks; 2) the Nespresso machines didn’t come with single-serve creamers or powder—so we had to request cold milk separately at a €5 charge, which felt a bit steep; 3) like many European hotels, there were no face cloths (or serviettes carrés) provided in the room—curious, what do Europeans actually use to wipe their faces? The lobby exudes elegance and warmth, while the Grand Salon feels straight out of a film set. Rooms, though on the smaller side, are smartly designed, incredibly comfortable, and feature excellent air conditioning and powerful rain showers. After a long day exploring Lyon, the basement spa area—complete with pool, sauna, steam room, and tea lounge—was pure bliss. Cocktails were crafted with care and served in vintage glassware, though martinis and old-fashioneds could use a bit more spirit. Breakfast was outstanding—full of variety and delicious options, including the ability to order avocado toast, truffled omelette, or œufs à la coque à la carte. Definitely book the B&B rate to avoid the surprise €39 per person fee if you’re not already included. Angelo’s, the hotel’s Italian restaurant, looked tempting but leaned toward the pricier side—we opted for dining out each night in Lyon’s culinary capital district instead. Staff were genuinely warm and attentive throughout. This hotel easily ranks among my top three reasonably priced boutique stays in Europe.
Staying at this hotel was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful—always going the extra mile to make sure we felt comfortable. The room offered a stunning view of the city, and breakfast was absolutely perfect, served with a breathtaking panoramic outlook that made every morning feel special. The only suggestion for improvement would be a small refresh of the room’s decor—some modern touches could elevate the already great ambiance even further. Overall, the location is fantastic, the service is top-notch, and the value for money is excellent. I’d definitely return and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lyon.
Staying at Pullman Lyon was an absolute highlight of my trip to Lyon. The location couldn’t be better—right across from the train station, just turn left after exiting and there it is. Super convenient for getting around the city. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly; one even offered me a map of Lyon and marked out recommended spots based on what I wanted to see—big shoutout to Elise, who truly went above and beyond with her helpfulness. The room was clean, well-maintained, and spotless—exactly what you want after a long journey. Breakfast was served in the ground-floor restaurant, which has a bright, open atmosphere and great natural lighting. I had my first-ever experience with a croissant sandwiched with strawberry jam and hoisin sauce—unexpected but surprisingly delicious! There was a little mix-up with my tea order: I asked for a cup of black tea, but the server handed me a tea bag instead. By the time I realized it, I’d already opened it—so I ended up drinking it anyway, which made for a funny moment. It didn’t ruin the experience at all—it actually added a touch of charm. Overall, this hotel delivered excellent service, comfort, and a memorable stay. Highly recommend!
Staying at this hotel was an absolute delight. Located in the heart of Lyon, it's perfectly positioned for exploring the city—walking distance to great restaurants, charming boutiques, and local hotspots. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with each room uniquely designed and beautifully decorated, making every stay feel special. I loved how no two rooms were alike—each one had its own character and charm. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and impressed by the attention to detail. It’s not just a place to sleep—it’s an experience. Highly recommend this gem for anyone visiting Lyon.
