Staying at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Lyon was an absolute highlight of my trip. Located right in the iconic 'Pencil Tower,' the hotel is just a short 5-minute walk west from Part-Dieu Station, and only one stop on the tram—making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The nearby shopping complex offers everything you need, from meals to everyday essentials, all within easy reach. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the view. From the room, you get panoramic vistas of Lyon’s skyline and surrounding areas—especially breathtaking at sunset. It’s rare to find such a stunning view combined with great location and comfort. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Lyon who wants a perfect blend of convenience, charm, and unforgettable scenery.
Stayed for three nights and overall, this hotel delivered a great experience. The location is super convenient—just a short metro ride from the city center. I appreciated the little touches like free apples by the elevator and complimentary water available to refill—small details that make a big difference. Breakfast was excellent: varied, fresh, and well-prepared, especially the continental options. My only minor complaint was the mattress—it was a bit too soft, which caused some back discomfort after a few nights. That said, the staff were friendly and attentive, the room was clean and modern, and the value for money was solid. I’d definitely stay here again when visiting Lyon.
Staying at this brand-new hotel was an absolute delight. The view over Lyon from the room was breathtaking—especially during sunset when the city lights began to sparkle. The rooms are spacious, stylishly designed with modern touches, and incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night’s sleep. The breakfast was outstanding—fresh, diverse, and well-prepared, with excellent coffee that hit just right. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Every detail felt thoughtfully curated. This place truly stands out in terms of quality and value. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lyon looking for a charming, well-run retreat.
Lyon truly lives up to its reputation as a world capital of gastronomy—every day was a delicious adventure! The hotel’s location is fantastic, making it super easy to explore the city on foot or by public transit. Staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, adding a warm touch to our stay. But what really stood out was the tiny vintage elevator in the hallway—it’s small, yes, but so charming and cinematic, like stepping into a classic black-and-white film. It added a unique, nostalgic flair to the whole experience. Everything about this place felt thoughtfully designed, from the ambiance to the details. A perfect blend of comfort, character, and convenience—10/10, would absolutely recommend!
The hotel was spotless and incredibly convenient for getting around Lyon. I appreciated how close it was to the train station—just a short walk or quick metro ride away, making travel into the city center or to the airport seamless. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Great value for money, and I’d definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Lyon.
Staying at Residhotel Lyon Part Dieu was an absolute highlight of my trip to Lyon. The location is incredibly convenient—right next to the train station, making it easy to explore the city or hop on a train to nearby destinations. The staff went above and beyond with their friendly and helpful service, always smiling and ready to assist. My room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed that made for a restful night’s sleep. I especially appreciated the free parking, which was a big plus for travelers like me who arrived by car. The breakfast was fresh and varied, offering a great start to each day. Overall, this hotel delivers excellent value and a truly welcoming atmosphere. If you're visiting Lyon, this is definitely a top choice.
This place is an absolute must-visit! Villa Seignemartin in Lyon offers a perfect blend of charm, comfort, and convenience. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with a warm atmosphere and elegant French-style design that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a postcard. The rooms are beautifully furnished, quiet, and incredibly cozy—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff goes above and beyond with their friendly service and local tips. Plus, being just a short walk from public transit makes exploring Lyon effortless. It’s rare to find such a peaceful retreat with such high quality and attention to detail. If you're looking for a memorable stay in Lyon, this is it—10/10, no hesitation!
We stopped by the hotel's rooftop bar with friends on a bright, sunny day, and the view was absolutely stunning—wide-open vistas of Lyon’s cityscape that made the whole experience unforgettable. It was incredibly hot, definitely sweltering under the sun, but we’d been warned in advance, so it didn’t really bother us. The service was straightforward, nothing fancy, but our drinks were excellent—refreshing, well-crafted, and just what we needed to cool down. Despite the heat, the atmosphere was lively and inviting, and I’m already thinking about coming back for another visit. A great spot for a relaxed drink with a view.
Staying at the InterContinental Lyon - Hotel Dieu by IHG was an absolute delight. The location is unbeatable—just a 40-minute walk to the historic hill of Fourvière, the majestic Notre-Dame de Fourvière Cathedral, and the ancient Roman Theatre. The morning views from the city skyline are stunning, especially when you start your day with a delicious breakfast. The breakfast spread is impressive: fresh fruits are available both pre-cut and whole. I chose the whole kiwi, apples, pears, and oranges, and staff kindly sliced them for me right after I placed them on my tray—such a thoughtful touch. The hotel offers valet parking at €42 per night, which is reasonable considering the central location and high level of service. Every detail feels intentional, from the elegant décor to the attentive staff. This isn’t just a place to sleep—it’s a memorable experience. I’d definitely return and recommend it to any traveler visiting Lyon.
Staying at this boutique hotel in the heart of Lyon was an absolute delight from check-in to check-out. The only minor tweaks I’d suggest: 1) the bar lacked stools, making it less comfortable to sit and enjoy drinks; 2) the Nespresso machines didn’t come with single-serve creamers or powder—so we had to request cold milk separately at a €5 charge, which felt a bit steep; 3) like many European hotels, there were no face cloths (or serviettes carrés) provided in the room—curious, what do Europeans actually use to wipe their faces? The lobby exudes elegance and warmth, while the Grand Salon feels straight out of a film set. Rooms, though on the smaller side, are smartly designed, incredibly comfortable, and feature excellent air conditioning and powerful rain showers. After a long day exploring Lyon, the basement spa area—complete with pool, sauna, steam room, and tea lounge—was pure bliss. Cocktails were crafted with care and served in vintage glassware, though martinis and old-fashioneds could use a bit more spirit. Breakfast was outstanding—full of variety and delicious options, including the ability to order avocado toast, truffled omelette, or œufs à la coque à la carte. Definitely book the B&B rate to avoid the surprise €39 per person fee if you’re not already included. Angelo’s, the hotel’s Italian restaurant, looked tempting but leaned toward the pricier side—we opted for dining out each night in Lyon’s culinary capital district instead. Staff were genuinely warm and attentive throughout. This hotel easily ranks among my top three reasonably priced boutique stays in Europe.
Staying at this hotel was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful—always going the extra mile to make sure we felt comfortable. The room offered a stunning view of the city, and breakfast was absolutely perfect, served with a breathtaking panoramic outlook that made every morning feel special. The only suggestion for improvement would be a small refresh of the room’s decor—some modern touches could elevate the already great ambiance even further. Overall, the location is fantastic, the service is top-notch, and the value for money is excellent. I’d definitely return and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lyon.
Staying at Pullman Lyon was an absolute highlight of my trip to Lyon. The location couldn’t be better—right across from the train station, just turn left after exiting and there it is. Super convenient for getting around the city. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly; one even offered me a map of Lyon and marked out recommended spots based on what I wanted to see—big shoutout to Elise, who truly went above and beyond with her helpfulness. The room was clean, well-maintained, and spotless—exactly what you want after a long journey. Breakfast was served in the ground-floor restaurant, which has a bright, open atmosphere and great natural lighting. I had my first-ever experience with a croissant sandwiched with strawberry jam and hoisin sauce—unexpected but surprisingly delicious! There was a little mix-up with my tea order: I asked for a cup of black tea, but the server handed me a tea bag instead. By the time I realized it, I’d already opened it—so I ended up drinking it anyway, which made for a funny moment. It didn’t ruin the experience at all—it actually added a touch of charm. Overall, this hotel delivered excellent service, comfort, and a memorable stay. Highly recommend!
