The only minor downside was the lack of soundproofing—since the bed was placed close to the door, I could hear conversations from outside clearly. That said, it’s the only issue I noticed. What stood out was how thoughtful the hygiene practices were—the towels were individually wrapped in plastic bags, clearly sterilized before use. Also, there’s no door between the bathroom and bedroom, and the blinds don’t block out much light, so morning sunlight can be a bit disruptive. But honestly, these are small trade-offs for such a cozy, well-located stay. The neighborhood vibe is authentic, and it’s super convenient for exploring Chengdu on foot or by metro.
