I booked this hotel for a friend, and they were really impressed with the stay! While the building might look a bit dated, the practicality more than makes up for it. The location is fantastic—right next to the metro station, making it super easy to get around town, whether heading to East Wu Tianjie or Shihu East Road. Breakfast was standard but satisfying—plenty of options and enough to keep you going. The front desk staff, especially Xiao Yang, was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any request. The room itself was spacious with all the essentials, and the bathroom layout was well thought out. Parking was a big plus—ample spots both above and below ground, and the process was simple: just scan your parking voucher at reception. Everything ran smoothly. Overall, this place offers excellent value for money, comfort, and convenience. I’d definitely recommend it and would stay here again on my next trip to Suzhou.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a laundry facility on the basement floor—super convenient for longer stays. On the 8th floor, there’s a free pool table, which my friends and I enjoyed during our downtime—such a nice touch! The hotel is perfectly located near the metro station, making it easy to explore Jinji Lake and surrounding areas. Everything feels brand new and well-maintained. Staff were friendly and attentive, offering helpful tips about local spots without being pushy. Breakfast was a highlight—wide variety of options including both Western and Chinese dishes. I especially enjoyed the warm congee and fresh baked bread. There’s also a self-serve coffee station in the lobby, perfect for an early morning pick-me-up. Tongli Lake View Hotel

This has been one of the most satisfying hotel stays I've had in years. Upon arrival, Xiao Qiu was incredibly helpful, patiently guiding me through room selection and even arranging two connecting rooms that perfectly suited our family. Though the hotel opened in 2004 and shows a bit of age on the outside, the interior is well-maintained and recently renovated last year—no lingering construction smell at all. The rooms are modern, clean, and fully equipped, with standout features like the electric towel warmer that everyone loved. Dining options were excellent too—the breakfast spread was diverse and delicious, and the pool water was crystal clear. The view from Daguanyuan at night was breathtaking, almost worth the trip on its own. One unexpected highlight? Free photography service included in the stay. The three professionally edited photos turned out beautifully, and my family still talk about them. What truly sets this place apart is the staff. Every single person we met—from front desk to housekeeping—was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. Their level of hospitality far exceeded what I’ve experienced at many international luxury chains. The front desk staff, Sawyer, was exceptionally friendly and professional, offering thoughtful travel tips that made our trip much smoother. From the location to the service, every detail was outstanding. This stay exceeded my expectations, and I’ll definitely be back.

Four Points by Sheraton Suzhou, Wuzhong

The hotel overall is excellent—comfortable rooms, great amenities, and friendly staff. While it’s a bit of a walk from the nearest subway station, it’s manageable and not a major issue. Breakfast was decent with a variety of options, but the coffee and tea were disappointing. The coffee was extremely weak—by far the weakest I’ve had in any hotel stay. The black tea tasted more like colored water than actual tea, and there were no fresh tea bags available for brewing. It really brought down the experience, especially since other aspects of the stay were so positive. That said, the room comfort, cleanliness, and service all exceeded expectations. Definitely worth staying again if they can upgrade the beverage offerings.

This was my second stay at this hotel, and I’m just as impressed as the first time. The room is spacious with excellent soundproofing—no noise from outside, which made for a peaceful night’s sleep. The blackout curtains are top-notch, and the room matched the online photos perfectly in every detail. The design has a unique, elegant touch that really sets it apart. Located right beside the Grand Canal, the view is serene and picturesque—waking up to the gentle flow of water is such a treat. The breakfast stood out especially—the noodles were handmade and full of character, offering a real local flavor. Everything about this place feels thoughtfully done, from the ambiance to the service. If you're looking for a quiet, beautiful getaway with great value, this hotel is a must-try.
