Early morning arrival via ride-hailing service turned stressful when the driver claimed our luggage damaged the passenger seat mechanism and refused to let us leave until it was 'fixed.' It was a confusing and tense situation, but the hotel staff—especially Zero Moon—stepped in immediately. She accompanied me to the police station where, after investigation, it was confirmed the issue was caused by the driver’s own key getting stuck in the track. The hotel didn’t just help with the incident—they offered a fresh fruit platter and even arranged a late checkout, showing genuine care. Every aspect of the stay exceeded expectations: impeccable cleanliness, excellent facilities, peaceful surroundings, and top-tier service. The late-night porridge delivery was a sweet surprise that truly warmed my heart. This is more than a hotel—it’s hospitality with soul. We arrived in Urumqi quite late, but the front desk staff at Yili Hotel (Wanda Square, Hetian Second Street, Urumqi) were incredibly welcoming and professional. Despite the late hour, they greeted us warmly and made check-in smooth and stress-free—truly appreciated! The hotel is perfectly located near transportation hubs, making it easy to explore the city or take the metro for quick access. While the hotel currently doesn’t offer triple rooms, which would be a nice addition, every other aspect was excellent. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. And the best part? The neighborhood is packed with amazing local street food—so many tempting options like juicy lamb skewers, fresh hand-pulled buns, and authentic Xinjiang-style pilaf. I couldn’t help but snap a few photos of the delicious eats nearby! Overall, this was a fantastic stay with great value, friendly service, and an unbeatable location. Staying at Jianzhi Hotel (Urumqi People's Square) was one of the best decisions I made during my trip to Urumqi. The value for money is outstanding—clean, comfortable rooms with a great location just steps away from the metro station. Everything you need is within walking distance: local eateries, shopping spots, and even the famous Bazaar and Hetian Second Street are super accessible. The staff, especially Su Su and Di Di at the front desk, were incredibly friendly and always greeted me with warm smiles—such a nice touch that made the stay feel personal. The hotel itself is well-maintained, quiet, and thoughtfully designed. I genuinely can’t recommend it enough. If I’m ever back in Urumqi, this will be my first choice again.

Xinrong Hotel

Absolutely incredible value for money! For the price, you get a clean room with a shower right in the scenic area—plus, just lying in bed, you can gaze out at the peaceful pine forest. After dinner, we took a short hike up the nearby hill, and the views were even more magical after a light rain. The air was crisp, the scenery stunning, and we even spotted wild mushrooms growing along the trail—asked the hostess if they were safe to eat (she confirmed they were!), which made it feel like a real adventure. Everything about this stay felt authentic and refreshing. If you're looking for a quiet escape into nature without breaking the bank, this place is a must-try. Highly recommended!
