When I mentioned a minor issue with my initial room, they responded immediately by upgrading me to a larger, sunlit room with excellent space and a smart wet/dry separation—truly a game-changer. Breakfast was varied and tasty, and the location couldn’t be better—just steps away from Green Lake Park, making it easy to explore on foot. I stayed here with friends for New Year’s Eve, and the atmosphere was perfect. I’d definitely come back again. We stopped by Venus International Hotel in Kunming on our way back from Shangri-La to Guizhou on October 6th, and it turned out to be a perfect pit stop. The staff at the front desk were incredibly warm and attentive—always ready to help with anything. Floor attendants were diligent and respectful, making sure everything ran smoothly. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with all the essentials we needed for a comfortable stay. What really stood out was the breakfast buffet—wide variety of dishes, fresh ingredients, excellent taste, and immaculate hygiene. Parking was easy and convenient, which is always a plus when traveling by car. The hotel is just a short walk from the metro station, making public transit super accessible. Plus, it's located in a vibrant commercial area with tons of restaurants nearby—dining options are endless, whether you're craving local flavors or something more familiar. We felt safe, comfortable, and well taken care of throughout our stay. Definitely planning to come back if we visit Kunming again. A fantastic choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Staying at Expo Hotel in Kunming was such a delightful experience. The hotel is incredibly close to major attractions like the World Horticultural Exposition Garden, Jin Dian Temple, and the Wildlife Park—perfect for morning walks through the garden with fresh air and scenic views. The breakfast spread was excellent, offering a wide variety of options, and the staff went above and beyond with their service. From the moment we arrived, friendly staff helped carry our luggage up to the room and even welcomed us with a refreshing fruit platter—small touches that made a big difference. Special thanks to Xiao Rong, Xiao Dong, and Xiao Wei for their warm hospitality; they truly made us feel at home. I’ve already returned here multiple times, and last visit I saw the room renovations underway—modern, clean, and well-designed. Can’t wait to check back in once the upgrade is complete. This hotel consistently delivers comfort, convenience, and genuine care, making it my top choice in Kunming.

The lobby isn’t very spacious—but honestly, that’s the only thing I could find to complain about. The location is unbeatable: just a short walk from Lake Dianchi and Wenshi Street, with excellent access to public transport and everything you need right downstairs—fresh fruit stalls, convenience shops, and local eateries. The room was bright, airy, and thoughtfully designed with vibrant yet calming colors. Everything felt modern and intuitive, from the smart control panels to the well-thought-out amenities. The bathroom was spacious, well-lit, and perfectly separated into dry and wet zones—no more awkward moments. Plus, the Dyson hairdryer was a nice touch. When I arrived, before even checking in, I was greeted with snacks and bird feed—such a fun and thoughtful welcome. The staff were warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. I tried the afternoon tea and late-night snacks—they were delicious. Special shoutout to Zhao Yuzhu, who served me noodles that were absolutely outstanding—rich, flavorful, and made with care. The service was exceptional—from the front desk staff who offered to wash, dry, fold, and neatly hang our laundry on the door handle, to the nightly free rice porridge and pickled vegetables served from 9 PM to 11 PM. The porridge was richly flavored and incredibly comforting. There's a foosball table in the lobby that our kids loved playing with, plus complimentary craft kits available for children to enjoy. The front desk also provides small hygiene packs with alcohol wipes, floss, and other essentials—just grab what you need. Breakfast was outstanding: diverse options and fresh fruit that changes daily, all sweet and delicious. Our housekeeping staff were consistently kind and thorough—every time we returned, the room was spotless, amenities fully restocked, and they even noticed we had kids. They quietly added extra child-sized slippers and toothbrushes, even leaving a handwritten note checking if we needed anything else. The room itself was quiet despite being near the street—double-glazed windows blocked out all noise completely. It came equipped with a mini-fridge, smart toilet, and a voice assistant ("Xiao Du Xiao Du") that made everything super convenient. Free drinks like Jianli Bao, AD Calcium Milk, and little snacks were stocked in the room—our kids asked multiple times if we could get more! The only minor wish? A free satellite movie channel would be a nice upgrade since the current TV offers only basic channels and paid films.
