The surrounding trails and quiet streets make cycling or walking the best way to get around. The staff went above and beyond—before check-in, they reached out to help with transport tips and followed up afterward to see how we were enjoying our stay. Having a 24/7 concierge was a huge plus. And the breakfast? Fantastic. Since the hotel runs its own Chinese restaurant, the food is fresh, flavorful, and authentic. Staying at The Nook Hotel Hangzhou felt like stepping into a peaceful retreat with a minimalist, Muji-inspired vibe. The upgraded room was absolutely dreamy—my favorite part was soaking in the bathtub while gazing out at the serene mountain view through the floor-to-ceiling glass. Natural light floods in, and the open-air balcony with lush greenery outside made every moment feel calming and refreshing. Getting there was easy—just a short walk from the metro station, following clear signs up a few steps and along a tree-lined path flanked by towering gingko and sycamore trees. You’ll spot the hotel right at the corner of a quiet street. It’s just one stop from Tianmu Li, which is perfect for a full day of exploring: art exhibitions, shopping, great cafes, and Instagram-worthy architecture and nature shots. A few stops further, you can visit Zhejiang University, wetlands, or botanical gardens—all within easy reach. And if you want to head into downtown, it’s only six stops away. Super convenient! The staff were warm and attentive, and the breakfast spread was generous and delicious. Definitely worth waking up early for!

The room itself was fantastic: top-notch amenities including Dyson hairdryers, premium toiletries, and a spacious bathtub that made relaxing effortless. The second-floor Sichuan restaurant is a real highlight—perfectly balanced spice level that suits local tastes. One minor note: the heating system in the room fluctuated a bit, and the shower drain could be slightly more efficient. But honestly, these are small tweaks for such a well-run, beautifully designed hotel with excellent service and value. I’d definitely come back.

The hotel is on the 15th floor with two levels, giving it a spacious and unique vibe. I loved the breakfast—huge variety, especially the dumplings and wontons, which were fresh and delicious. The room had a beautiful Japanese-style tatami design, very calming and cozy. Bonus: they offer free traditional outfits like kimonos and hanfu for guests to wear—perfect for taking cool photos with friends. We even got upgraded to a larger room, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Clean environment, great staff, and amazing atmosphere. Definitely coming back—the value is unbeatable!

While the property isn’t massive, its intimate size adds to the personalized experience. What truly stands out is the exceptional service—staff are attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with any request, no matter how small. The breakfast buffet may not have an overwhelming variety, but everything is fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. Dining at Jinsha Hall is a highlight—it's one of the top-tier restaurants in Hangzhou, offering both quality and elegance. Every detail reflects care and attention, making this stay unforgettable. I’d absolutely return without hesitation.

I was a bit nervous before my trip after reading so many reviews, and originally planned to book two rooms—luckily, I only ended up securing one. Still, I decided to give it a try and called the reservations team. I was connected with Miss Shao Linyang, who was incredibly helpful. Even though we couldn’t secure an additional room, she followed up promptly and made sure every step was communicated clearly. To my surprise, she upgraded my room and even left fresh fruit upon arrival. When I mentioned I’d be traveling with a child, she proactively arranged kid-friendly amenities, and the room came equipped with a mini-bar—thoughtful touches that really stood out. As a long-standing five-star property, the service level is consistently excellent. The location is unbeatable—right next to Wulin Night Market, and just a 10-minute walk to West Lake. On days when traffic restrictions made taxis hard to find, walking became the easiest option. Breakfast was generous in both variety and quality. Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations. A special thank you to Miss Shao for her professionalism and warm hospitality—it truly made all the difference.

West Lake State Guesthouse

Staying at West Lake State Guesthouse was an absolute delight. The facilities exceeded my expectations—spacious, elegant, and thoughtfully designed with attention to detail. The room was immaculately clean, and every corner felt fresh and well-maintained. What truly stood out was the location: just a short walk from West Lake, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. Getting to Feilai Feng was also quick and easy by car or public transport. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful—always smiling, ready to assist, and going the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. Dining at Zhiwei Hall was another highlight. The food was excellent, with authentic flavors and beautiful presentation. While some dishes were on the pricier side, considering the quality, setting, and service, it felt justified. My family especially loved the taste of the signature dishes and kept raving about them afterward. Overall, this was a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and hospitality. A top-tier experience with outstanding value. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Hangzhou.

Feng Qi Chao Ming·The Dragon

Staying at this hotel in the heart of Hangzhou was an absolute delight. Just a short walk from West Lake, it’s perfectly positioned for exploring the city without hassle. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable—bed was cozy, and I slept like a baby. Check-in was quick and friendly, with staff going the extra mile to explain all the room amenities. The 18th-floor pool and gym are fantastic—great views, well-maintained, and super convenient. Breakfast was outstanding: a wide variety of options, fresh ingredients, and attentive service. Every detail felt thoughtfully designed. This was one of the best stays I’ve had in China—excellent value, great location, and top-tier hospitality. I’d definitely come back if I ever visit Hangzhou again.
