I was originally planning to book at the Waldorf, but then discovered this Marriott – trusting the brand and following a friend’s recommendation, I decided to give it a try. And honestly, I couldn’t be happier. The room itself was outstanding – the bedding was perfect: the mattress had just the right firmness, and the down comforter was light yet cozy, ensuring a truly restful night’s sleep. Everything was spotless – immaculate cleanliness from top to bottom. Upon returning, I even found a lovely turn-down service waiting for me, which added such a warm, personal touch. The welcome fruit platter was a nice surprise too, especially the hotel’s own Aoyuan jelly tangerines – juicy, sweet, and fresh. From the moment I booked, Emily, the guest relations manager, reached out with a friendly phone call, making sure everything was taken care of. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable – just across the street from In99, where dining, shopping, and entertainment are all within easy reach. Yet, despite being in the heart of the action, the hotel somehow manages to feel calm and serene – more peaceful than the Waldorf right next door. This stay was truly flawless. If you’re ever in Chengdu for work or play, this is definitely a top pick.

Kaite Liya Creative Theme Apartment (Chengdu Chunxi Tai Koo Li)

First time in Chengdu and I couldn’t have picked a better place to stay — right next to Taikoo Li, with the iconic 3D LED screen just across the street, always buzzing with people filming content. Taikoo Li itself is a high-end boutique shopping street, home to a 1,400-year-old temple, Da Cisi, adding a unique cultural vibe. The hotel is super convenient — just steps from Metro Lines 2 and 3, or you can walk straight through the underground passage beside the hotel to reach the mall. Personally, that route felt smoother and faster. The building has floor access control, but since it’s a mixed-use residential-commercial space, there are often people waiting for the elevator, so if you’re in a rush, plan ahead. That said, everything runs smoothly overall. Before check-in, the manager reached out via WeChat to send over key info and offer instant support — super helpful for any issues like unfamiliar devices. Room amenities were excellent: plenty of outlets, fast Wi-Fi, reliable Daikin HVAC system, washer with detergent included, plus a coffee maker and tea bags (the tea was surprisingly good!). Daily mineral water refills made life easy. The projector TV worked well — just use the remote to adjust focus if needed. One small downside: TV channels weren’t as varied as expected. It seems regional content is limited, and the streaming box requires an account to access. That part needs a quick chat with the manager to sort out. But honestly, these are minor gripes. For the location, comfort, and service, this place delivers top-tier value. I’d definitely book here again on my next visit to Chengdu.

Whether you're heading to the Panda Base, Dujiangyan, or Qingcheng Mountain, everything is well-connected via public transit. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. For the location, service, and value, this place earns every bit of its perfect score.

Staying at Nanyue Hotel was a fantastic experience! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Chunxi Road and right near Sichuan University. We found plenty of great local eateries right outside, including a popular skewer spot near campus that was packed with people for good reason—it was delicious! The hotel itself is clean, quiet, and well-maintained, with a peaceful little courtyard. Bonus: free parking made our trip even more convenient, especially with family. The nearby police station adds a sense of security. Overall, the value for money is outstanding—comfortable, safe, and perfectly situated. Definitely recommend and will return!

What truly stood out was the rooftop terrace on the 7th floor—beautifully designed, especially in the evening when the city lights came on. Sitting there with a drink, enjoying the view, felt like a little escape from the hustle. Even during the day, it's perfect for sipping tea and relaxing. Friendly staff, excellent location near the subway station, and fantastic value. I’ll definitely be back here on my next trip to Chengdu.

Location-wise, it’s unbeatable: just 20 meters from the subway station, and within a 10-15 minute walk to Taikoo Li, Intime Mall, and Chunxi Road. Perfect for daytime shopping and exploring hidden gems, then winding down at local bars along Chunxi Road with live music. Staff were incredibly warm and attentive—the front desk team was friendly, and the housekeeping team responded promptly to every request. It’s clear they genuinely care about guest experience. Overall, this hotel exceeded all expectations. An unexpected highlight of my trip to Chengdu, and one I’d happily return to without hesitation.
