Staying at Atour Hotel IFS Chunxi Road Chengdu was an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel is immaculately clean, and the warm welcome started right away with a comforting bowl of congee upon arrival—such a thoughtful touch. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable: just steps from the metro station and directly across from the IFS shopping complex, making everything super convenient for dining, shopping, and exploring. We were originally worried we wouldn’t be able to book three consecutive nights during New Year’s peak season since the hotel was fully booked—but the front desk team went above and beyond to secure our stay, even offering a great rate so we could stay without having to switch hotels. On one night, the air conditioning unit in the room was too hot, causing discomfort for my child who ended up with a nosebleed. Without hesitation, they immediately upgraded us to a better room and kept checking in until we were completely satisfied. That level of care truly stood out. To top it off, we received a cute panda-themed gift when checking out—such a sweet farewell gesture. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. If I ever return to Chengdu, this will be my first choice.

I especially loved the Tmall Genie smart voice control system; adjusting lights, opening curtains, or turning on the AC with just a voice command made everything so effortless. The bathroom features a well-designed wet-dry separation, hot water came instantly, and all toiletries were thoughtfully provided—even the toothbrush was brand new. The location is super convenient, just steps away from the railway station and close to metro access, making it easy to explore Chengdu. It’s a fantastic blend of comfort, tech-savvy convenience, and cleanliness. Definitely a top choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Chengdu East Railway Station Greenland 468 Center Atour Hotel

I finally made it to Chengdu for an overnight stay—something I’d wanted to do ever since my previous visits in 2005 and 2018, when I only passed through without stopping. This time, during my extended trip from October 2nd to 13th, I was determined to spend at least one night here. My main goal? To visit the tomb of Guan Yu (Guan Yunchang), famously mentioned in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, located supposedly in eastern Chengdu. After arriving at Chengdu South Railway Station, I took a taxi straight there—but unfortunately, the site was closed due to major construction work. Still, I managed to take some photos from outside before heading to my hotel. The Atour Hotel at Chengdu East Railway Station turned out to be a delightful surprise. Located right near the train station, it’s incredibly convenient for getting around the city—just a short subway ride into downtown. The hotel itself is spotless, modern, and part of a fresh concept with thoughtful touches like a mini-fridge in the room. Staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. Dinner featured a rich, comforting soup that stood out, and breakfast was excellent—plenty of choices, high quality. What truly added charm was the little tea house next door; I spent a relaxed evening sipping tea and chatting with locals, exchanging stories and laughs. Even the puzzle game by the elevator added a fun, unexpected moment while waiting. It’s rare to find a hotel that combines comfort, service, and personality so well. This stay left me with nothing but positive memories. Thank you, Atour team, for making my Chengdu experience unforgettable.

Perfect for different dietary needs! Located just steps away from Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li, shopping and exploring are so convenient. Public transport access is excellent too. This hotel offers unbeatable value and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Chengdu—definitely my top pick!

Kaite Liya Creative Theme Apartment (Chengdu Chunxi Tai Koo Li)

First time in Chengdu and I couldn’t have picked a better place to stay — right next to Taikoo Li, with the iconic 3D LED screen just across the street, always buzzing with people filming content. Taikoo Li itself is a high-end boutique shopping street, home to a 1,400-year-old temple, Da Cisi, adding a unique cultural vibe. The hotel is super convenient — just steps from Metro Lines 2 and 3, or you can walk straight through the underground passage beside the hotel to reach the mall. Personally, that route felt smoother and faster. The building has floor access control, but since it’s a mixed-use residential-commercial space, there are often people waiting for the elevator, so if you’re in a rush, plan ahead. That said, everything runs smoothly overall. Before check-in, the manager reached out via WeChat to send over key info and offer instant support — super helpful for any issues like unfamiliar devices. Room amenities were excellent: plenty of outlets, fast Wi-Fi, reliable Daikin HVAC system, washer with detergent included, plus a coffee maker and tea bags (the tea was surprisingly good!). Daily mineral water refills made life easy. The projector TV worked well — just use the remote to adjust focus if needed. One small downside: TV channels weren’t as varied as expected. It seems regional content is limited, and the streaming box requires an account to access. That part needs a quick chat with the manager to sort out. But honestly, these are minor gripes. For the location, comfort, and service, this place delivers top-tier value. I’d definitely book here again on my next visit to Chengdu.
