Staying at Minguo Hotel (Qingdao Catholic Church) was an absolute delight. From the moment we walked in, the room felt spacious and well thought out—furniture was solid and built to last, with no creaks or wobbles. The bathroom is a fully integrated design with smart layout, leaving no dead corners and making it easy to clean. Right by the entrance, there’s a small tea station with a mini-fridge stocked with complimentary drinks, plus a safe and an air purifier—little touches that make a big difference. We arrived in January during a cold spell, with temperatures dropping below zero outside. But inside the room, the heating worked perfectly, and when needed, the AC provided extra warmth. The TV was impressively large—ideal for movie nights. And the bed? One pillow was firm, the other soft—great for different sleeping preferences. The windows face Zhongshan Road, a busy street, but the soundproofing is excellent thanks to thickened glass. We barely heard any traffic noise. Overall, for under $250 per night, this level of comfort, cleanliness, and thoughtful amenities is outstanding. It’s rare to find such value in a central location with such attention to detail. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and plan to stay here again.

What really surprised us was the little barbecue stall right outside the hotel—like a cozy street food setup run by friends. Fresh skewers of grilled shrimp (¥5), steamed dumplings (¥3), meat skewers (¥10 per bundle), grilled corn (¥5), and even grilled vegetables (¥2) were all super affordable and delicious. The sausages were only ¥3 each—so good we couldn’t stop eating! And yes, buying more meant bigger discounts—no need to ask how much, just expect a ‘break-the-deal’ price! It’s rare to find such a charming, authentic local touch right outside your hotel door. If you're visiting Qingdao, this place isn’t just a stay—it’s an experience.

He upgraded our room without hesitation, even though we booked a non-breakfast option, and took the time to recommend local activities tailored to our interests. We arrived on the 1st and were immediately upgraded to a second-floor room upon check-in—such a nice surprise! The room came with a mini-fridge stocked with plenty of drinks, including green tea, coffee, and soda—perfect for staying refreshed. There were two pillow options, so I could choose what worked best for me. The sofa was a great touch, making it easy to relax or work from the room. My favorite part was definitely the dining area, which offered stunning views of the ocean—great for breakfast or a quiet drink. The only minor downside was slightly thin walls—some noise from neighboring rooms could be heard, but honestly, that didn’t take away from the overall experience. The location is excellent: just a short walk from the subway, and the view from the window is stunning—right onto the historic church and the lively streets of Zhongshan Road. It’s such a charming spot for photos or simply relaxing with a cup of tea. One small suggestion: could the breakfast include fresh soy milk? The machine used today didn’t work properly, and the resulting brew lacked quality. Otherwise, everything else was top-notch. Gongshe Hotel

Stayed in Qingdao twice now, and the attic family room was absolutely fantastic! The German-style design is charming and unique, and the bed—1.8 meters plus 1.2 meters—is huge enough for both my child and me without any fear of being kicked during the night. Cleanliness was top-notch; from the moment we walked in, everything felt spotless, even the bathroom had no traces of dirt. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming—every time they saw my kid, they’d call out 'sweetie' with such genuine affection, I swear my son nearly forgot his own name laughing! Location-wise, it’s unbeatable: just a 10-minute walk to the Zhanqiao Pier, Catholic Church, and the bustling pedestrian street. Public transport access is also excellent if you want to explore further. For the quality, price, and experience, this place is a real gem. Definitely coming back next time!

Staying at Qingting · Lyric Courtyard Hotel was a perfect choice during my visit to Qingdao with my daughter. The overall ambiance is exceptional—its unique architectural design stands out from typical chain hotels, giving it a distinct and charming character. Located just steps from Zhongshan Road Metro Station (Line 1), the hotel offers unbeatable convenience—just one stop away from Qingdao Railway Station. Plus, right across the street is a bustling commercial area where you can easily find dining options, shopping, and local attractions. The staff were courteous, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. The room itself was spotless, spacious, and recently renovated—featuring a large comfortable bed with no lingering odors. The private balcony offered a stunning view, making morning coffee or evening relaxation even more enjoyable. Everything about this place felt fresh, clean, and thoughtfully designed. With such a great location, excellent service, and high-quality facilities, I’d definitely return and recommend it without hesitation.

Furunli Shiyu Hotel, Zhanqiao Zhongshan Road,

Staying at Furunli Shiyu Hotel (Zhanqiao Zhongshan Road Branch) was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, the cleanliness and ambiance stood out—spotless, well-maintained, and welcoming. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making me feel right at home. My room was spacious, bright, and equipped with modern amenities that made the stay super comfortable. Breakfast featured a delicious seafood noodle dish and flavorful wild wontons—both were excellent. Afternoon tea with coffee and Lao Shan tea was perfect for recharging. In the evening, a refreshing cocktail capped off the day beautifully. Everything about this hotel impressed me: hygiene, facilities, service, and overall experience. It’s located in a prime spot—just steps away from Zhongshan Road and Zhanqiao Pier, making it easy to explore the city. With such a high level of quality and value, this is definitely my top pick for future visits to Qingdao. Highly recommended!
